AKM Steels Ltd was incorporated 15 years ago, trading as steel stockholders, specialising in tool steel which is mainly supplied to the engineering industry.

We are the sole UK agents for Dorrenberg Edelstahl, Germany who produce a wide range of tool steels i.e. cold work, hot, work, high speed and special alloys with ISO 9001 accreditation.

Dorrenberg have the largest special steel foundry in Germany with an extensive delivery programme for stainless steels, acid and wear resistance steel castings up to weight of 6 tonnes.

Customised castings of tool steels and special alloys for the automotive industry are a speciality - heat treatments and CVD and PVD surface treatments are also available.

All material is supplied with a mill certificate and Dorrenberg have probably the best technical back up service in Europe

AKM stock a wide range of tool steel in both round and flat bar at our warehouse in Rotherham. We are able to cut to your specification diameters of up to 660 mm and flat bar up to 800 mm wide
